Bug: Cannot search contacts or calendar

Symptom:

You can only search for contacts and/or calendar items in the phone if you know any part of the File As field (contacts) or subject fields (calendar).

That means you cannot search contact notes, nor can you search phone numbers or cities. You cannot find the name of that cool restaurant in London or that great hotel you stayed at last year in Paris.

The same goes for calendar: unless you know when a specific item is you will only find it by going through every day manually. You cannot find that appointment with so and so, etc...

I suppose this is not really a bug, yet it is a whopping design ommission and reduces functionality significantly.

You can search by phone numbers ....

From home screen start to type in phone number, and list of corresponding contacts comes up, which gets whittled down with every subsequent number you enter.
