replacement screen

Did yours get scratched? I put my SPV in my pocket and walked around for 10 minutes and when I took the phone out it had serious scratches on the screen. BOY is that screen soft!!!!

Has anyone else scratched theirs? Is there any way of repolishing it with any kind of solution etc.?

There is a product called Displex which I bought off the web which a number of people have had some success with. It certainly reduced the scratches on mine, didn't toally eliminate them, but I haven't tried polishing it again yet.

the actual screen is broken with a big black mark where the liquid crystal has leaked.

me again, the case is fine, no scratches, the screen is not cracked but there is a leak. half the screen still works fine but the other half is white. i will try and get a picture on-line soon.

How is that screen mounted on the board? If it's solder-reflow with very small pads, you're never gonna change it by hand. If it's a cable, then try to find a manufacturer ref on the original screen, should be fairly easy to replace, if you can find the part and buy it in small quantities... for significantly cheaper than a new phone.
