Guest stats Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 I accidentally deleted home0.hif from the home dir and think it may have buggered my phone? Ive been installing new skins etc (one was a .hme) and all was fine until i turned off my phone and back on because of one of those hangs.. now I get: No home screen layout can be found. Install a valid home screen layout and then select it using the Home Screen item in Settings. Well I have the following files in Home dir: mrubtn.bmp home1.hif brushed_metal.jpg camper.jpg surf.jpg brushed_metal.home.xml Ive tried selecting brushed_metal as a background and the xml for layout but nothing happens. Is this related to the .hme file that auto-installed? or maybe the missing .hif file? Can i get this .hif file back? feel free to label me a twat.
Guest Richie M Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 I'm not sure what Home0.hif does, but you have home1.hif which seems to be the one that gets updated. Try one of the Default/Orange Homescreens, if they work something is wrong with Brushed Metal - prob a jpg or bmp missing - redownload and install. PS you aint a tw@
