Fire up a registry editor (need a de-certed phone) and navigate to HKCUControlPanelSoundsRingTone0. Select the Script key. This will have a value of something like "av0pw3r". Now, I don't know what the a, v, 0 or p stand for, but it looks like "w3" is wait for a period of 3 (dunno units) and r is repeat. Delete w3, and (at least with a midi file) it will repeat immediately.

very cool and works!

:)

now, how can i get my alarm to repeat itself?

errr, thats an easy one :wink: ...

navigate to HKCUControlPanelSoundsRingTone0

select Sound key

change the Value data to:

Storage Cardblahblah.wav (replace blahblah with whatever the ringtone is called obviously)

Oh, and both these registry settings (ringtone repeat and sd card ringtone) both work even after a reboot. :)

now we have looping ringtones, and wavs on sd card, maybe someone can make a new sound editor for the phone where you can choose ringtones, set delay between rings etc. and it will automatically change the registry etc.

and dont forget, using the reg editor you can set sounds for startup, shutdown and loads of other stuff. I know SoundzCool is coming out, but why use that when its only a registry change, seems like a waste of money to pay for it. I nice little app for the spv could do the same.

i rekon the v could indicate a vibrate maybe, its the only word that i can think of that would be phone related

The a and the v are for Audio / Vibrate.

They directly connect to the ring type on your current profile.

Starting at 0

so it's :-

0 = Ring

1 = Ring Once

2 = Increasing Ring

3 = Vibrate

4 = Vibrate then Ring

5 = Vibrate and Ring

6 = Silent

If you remove the av it will just display the callers name / number without ringing or vibrating.

It works great, and the ringtones don't even skip anymore.

the v actually seems to relate to the vibration length, so v0 and v1 both vibrate, the difference being the length of the vibrate, 0 being very short and 1 being a lot longer, not advisable to set it really long, cos then it just gets annoying

Do a search of the site for "regedit". One of the moderators. monolithix, has it on his homepage, along with other applications. Look for one of his posts, the URL is in his signature.

You'll need to uncert the phone though. Take a look in the "Articles" section, lot's of useful stuff for a new user there...
