Guest apb075 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Anyone know if there is a Gamboy Advance emulator around for the spv? I've seen one called goboy for nokia, but can't find anything for the spv. Ali.
Guest Richie M Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 If you scroll down or do a search before posting, you will find your answer. NO, not at the mo :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did i really write this? i must apologise for this post, having a bad time at the mo & quit smoking
Guest Gorskar Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Im surprised some rubbishy nokia can handle gameboy advance. I'll have to check this out and see if I can confirm this.
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Check here: http://www.wildpalm.co.uk/GoBoy7650.html Goboy is in fact a gameboy and gameboy color emulator just like gnuboy. NOT a gameboy advance emulator.
Guest apb075 Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003  Sorry, i did find the section on the gba, but i'd already posted the first msg by then, and the same applies to realising goboy wasn't a GBA emulator! Ali.
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 Well... for my own curiosity I got VisualBoyCE going on my smartphone. So I now have gameboy advance games working (kindof)... Basically it doesn't seem to support all relevant functions (fixable) and it's so slow it's a joke (unfixable). I get maybe 1 frame per second. A curiosity more than anything else. I won't be developing it any further cos it's really completely unuseable.
Guest 15 yr old Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 no way can the spv handle gbadvance games! i wish it could though!!!!
Guest Coolboy1982 Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 no way can the spv handle gbadvance games! i wish it could though!!!! maybe later smartphones will be able to...
Guest 15 yr old Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 is there a way to make the game boy emu run faster?
Guest spacemonkey Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 only way to make it faster would be to completely rewrite it in assembler or something, for gameboy (gnuboy) that'd be good, for gameboy advance (visualboy) I don't think it would make nearly enough difference for the SPV to make it useable. And besides, it's a huge amount of work for someone who knows assembler. Luckily these apps are open source, so anyone who thinks they're up to it can download the code and go.
