UNLOCKING PHONE/PROBLEMS WITH MMS

Can anyone assist - I have read the forums regarding problems after de-certifying the orange spv.

I have managed to de-certify my phone

I have then restored my backup so all my contents etc are back in place

but my mms wont work - I enter Inbox/SMS and press new I get nothing

I did check my settings prior to de-certifying it and they appear the same ie in settings/data connections and then edit

the dns are set at 0.0.0.0 prior to de-certifying and the phone worked properly

Where am I going wrong, am I missing something I need to be able to sm

I think alot of people have had this problem. If i remember rightly it's somethimg to do with not all of the .provxml file being pasted.

I think you have to hard reset and unlock again sorry :cry:

I had the same problem when I first did the de-cert - I could receive messages but couldnt compose new ones or send replies.

Yes, go through the de-cert process again.

The timing of pasting the altered provxml file is important. What I did was as soon as the phone was sync'd was hit 'paste' over and over again - about 6 times in 30 seconds. It must have helped, because the phone was unlocked and the SMS/MMS etc was restored :)

Sometimes its a bit hit and miss - there are numerous reports in the forum of people having to try over and over again to get the de-cert done properly.

Give it another go.

Finally Sorted it except my Orange Update wont work - at least I have messages and emails
