Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 MoDaCo = Mobile Data Consultancy (although 'community' would probably be more appropriate now!) MVP = Microsoft Most Valuable Professional See http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ for a bit more info :) P
Guest u03ekw Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 whoops sorry. i did a search for "MoDaCo" and couldnt find anything. actually, forgot what criteriae i used. anyway this'll keep this post on top ;) hope to get it locked... :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I've locked the old one and made this one sticky :)
Guest siu99spj Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Secondary question (Probably shoulda started a new thread but...) Is it just me or does the text of some threads use an ever so slightly different blue from other threads? I'm just wondering because its really bugging me!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 9, 2003 Report Posted August 9, 2003 I know :) but I'll let him explain :o
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Well I don't want to spoil his story  It's nothing special but an insight to the man behind the name.
Guest squall Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 i cant wait to the meet, so many names and expectations. just hope i get to go, im on a two week course that day. shouldnt be a problem though.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 If you're that interested... I'm 6'3"-ish = tall = a monolith. Monolith was taken when i tried to sign up for some webmail service 6 or 7 years back, but offered monolith_9 as an option. I hate random numbers in nicks, so converted it to monolithix, monolith + 9 in roman numerals, and it stuck. My nick is actually Monolith9. So now you know. :)
Guest Coucou Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 Obelix has much the same meaning but then we would have thought of you as tall and fat, with red pigtails... :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 How about a fancy dress theme for the meet week after next? ;p
Guest mischievous Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Would be funny to ask forum users what they thought/guessed MoDaCo stood for, or come up with silly suggestions of what it stands for. I hope nobody takes this negatively, as it's meant as just a bit of light humor! :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 When i first saw MoDaCo (way back when) i assumed i'd misread it and it was something to do with DoCoMo!
Guest gravity Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 yea NTT MoDaCo, NTT DoCoMo's fudged the Translation for the site designers, so they call it MoDaCo now. All your base are belong to us.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 yea NTT MoDaCo, NTT DoCoMo's fudged the Translation for the site designers, so they call it MoDaCo now. All your base are belong to us. Somebody set us up the bomb? :P
Guest Zain [PRO] Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 General Chat huh very nice.
Guest MorphFx Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Talking of nicks and names is it possible to change username / nick(bradwarduk) without creating a new account?
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 You have to PM on of the Mods, give them a good enough reason and don't try changing it to something pretentious. Or rude. :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Send me a PM and I'll see what I can do :)
Guest Maverick Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 oi.. Dont use one of my first threads in Modaco for some random chit chat :) heh heh.. :nostalgic:
