Integrated Bluetooth functionality on the SPV/SPVx is pretty much all I need now... Currently, none of the MS Smartphone designs has Bluetooth integrated. What's going on??? :?:

There is a bluetooth SD card ( Toshiba i think  ) but i'm not sure if that works.

Try doing a search, this has been brought up before

I don't think that the drivers have been written for the toshiba bluetooth SD card, but I think I remember reading a few weeks back on a post about SPV upgrades that there will be a bluetooth adaptor to plug into the serial port. Intergrated would be better, but I can live with it :) . I wouldn't want the SPV too have too many internal things, or it might end up the size of the 7650!

It'll be bigger, with an adapter on the serial port :)

Once we get some external devices in the market and working with smartphone 2002, then some company building a phone with inbuilt bluetooth is just a matter of time.

bluetooth would definatly save carrying this cradle around. but wouldnt the battry just drain quicker with bluetooth running?

But why would you have it running constantly? Just turn it on when you need it.

What I'd like to see is more of a Bluetooth 'Jacket' a'la the iPaq.

Considering they are both made by HTC it seems this must have crossed the mind of their R&D guys?

Imagine a jacket that plugs into the bottom of the phone, and 'encloses' the phone body. The actual Bluetooth hardware (which is quite small) could sit in the back of the jacket and cover the battery.

The whole thing could be made of rubberised plastic, with the Bluetooth controller encapsulated in a hardened internal case. This would protect the phone, and could be made available in multiple colours to satisfy the 'facia lovers' out there.

Come on HTC, you know it makes sense...

... there would be a way for bluetooth on the spv. Therefore the SPV SD-Slot must have SDIO-Now! functionality. Could be done within an upgrade - then some of those bluetooth sd-cards might work with a driver... jpzr tells, the next sp- os has bluetooth functionality

When buying the SPV the only other phon I had in mind was the Nokia 7210, the only differenct in it was the fact that it had an FM radio and bluetooth. I'm still glad I got my spv, i think the rest of the functionality far out weights that. Mind I would liek a radio
