Guest v_patel1 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 can u connect to msn messenger on from PAYG wap
Guest martin Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 It may need full GPRS internet service (for web browsing) ? I'm not sure if this is available for PAYG - I'll have to give CS a call tomorrow and find out. These are the only settings I could find and I have tried this. Create GPRS connection Description: O2 GPRS The Internet, mobile.o2.co.uk, web, password, 193.113.200.200, 193.113.200.201 I suspect that this is for contract sims only ? There is no mention of PAYG web browsing on the O2 site.
Guest martin Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 O2 customer services have confirmed that they don't do GPRS web browsing on pay as you go. It's GPRS for wap sites only. Am I right is saying that O2 PAYG WAP is free at the moment due to billing problems. I'm sure I read this somewhere ?
Guest Zim Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Thanx again Martin for the settings, just wanna add my little bit, i have the old genie sim cards, the pay as you go ones, - the very first ones they came out with, the "unlimited" free text messages and "unlimited" wap. and the setting you gave me worked a treat, for normal HTML sites, msn messenger basically nearly everything thats on the net i can view on the phone. be it a bit slow but does comes up. and well i cant seem to get off it when i am not at my computer. i was just thinking that surely these settings can work for anyone who is on O2 pay as you go. anyway thanx Zima
