Guest PaulF Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Hi all, Just succesfully loaded the update from Win2K, and now got the USB Modem drivers loaded. Have followed the instructions in other posts (dial *99#, and put +cgdcont=1,"IP","orangeinternet","",0,0 in the advanced bit of the modem driver) and can get it to dial out and browse the internet. HOWEVER, I have a couple of problems: Firstly, it seems to be doing a 'normal' dial out rather than GPRS (the icon by the signal strength meter shows two arrows rahter than the 'G') Secondly, the disconnect function from the Laptop doesn't seem to hang up the phone (I have to press the hed 'hang-up' button to do this. Anyone else had these problem ?? Anyone got the solution ? :) Many thanks PaulF
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Moved to H&A. The two arrows is normal, and 150 assure me this is GRPS data, although i'm not convinced... And i can't remeber about hanging up sorry, only used it once to test it out :)
Guest Richie M Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 I presume your using the cradle; the HTC Manual says GPRS is not available in the Cradle  Dunno if this helps, i havent used the USB Modem thingy (got broadband :) & no laptop )
