Is it unlocked for networks or unlocked for applications (or both) ?

There are many many hints and tips on this site but it depends on what applies to you. Whether its games, multimedia, internet access, programming etc, someone on MoDaCo usually knows.

You may have to set the SPV up for ATT network and I think the details are in the GPRS/MMS/WAP repository under Articles.

I would say its advisable to buy yourself an SD card (I've got a 256MB) as you will be downloading many applications and 8MB or 16MB is nowhere near enough. Try to install all your applications on you SD card and not in your phones memory.

and have fun...

Hola,

I just got my phone today, I'm in the US. The first thing you'll need to do is select the band, by default my SPV was set for european network.

To do that, select programs, settings telephony , Band selection .. and then PCS Band.

Of course, I don't use ATT, I use T-mobile.. I wasn't aware that ATT now offered GSM at all. How do you plan on transfering your phone # onto the unit ? ATT has SIM Chips ?

if so cool.. about time.. I've been using T-mobile (voicestream), for the past two years, pretty much because ATT didn't have any phones with sim cards etc.

AT%T does have GSM/GPRS. The thing I haven't figured out yet is how to GPRS working on my SPV over the AT&T network. Anyone have any ideas?
