Guest Simon Desser Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 For those of you who went to the MoDaCo event, and are struggling to find the free Tube software, here's what to do  Go to http://www.visualit.co.uk/ then click on more details in the news section. This is about "Simple View" then click "buy a copy", then click "Products", then choose MS Smartphone from the category, and follow the instructions. Put your free code in and it come out at Zero charge ;) (Don't forget to remove "Simple View" from your shopping cart) Cheers Simon
Guest Firaas Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 By the way, when you enter your code, remove the space between "CPN" and 3 (or whatever number).
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I'm impressed with this app , could do with a page up/down option when selecting stations as doing this at the moment is a bit of a pain ;)
Guest Firaas Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 What an amazing app! This is probably one of the coolest (but most useless for me) apps I've seen in terms of its effectiveness!
Guest Simon Desser Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I'm impressed with this app , could do with a page up/down option when selecting stations as doing this at the moment is a bit of a pain :( You know that if you press a letter it jumps to the first station beginning with that letter. So you can jump straight to A, D, G, J, M, P, T or W. It does make it MUCH quicker than scrolling through all of them :?: I have to say, if there's one app that "shows your phone off" it's this one. Shame I don't live in London ;)
Guest madu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Thanks for that Simon.. I thought they just made a big joke! hehe That's pretty cheeky/unclever though giving that coupon and a false/or just under construction link...
Guest [email protected] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Hi, guys Sorry for the trouble you may be having getting your download of Tube London from our site. We have changed web servers this weekend, the new one has problems and our site navigation is crippled. The tech guys promise a fix Monday am ... great support  You should all be able to get the download then. Hope you all had a good time at the fan fest and enjoy using Tube on your SPV. Rgds John Hawkes Visual IT

Guest pete1312 Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 How about those of us who can type (or at least me)? I happen to be going to London next Wed & Thurs, and this application would certainly assist me. Any chance :?: PLEASE
Guest madu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 This is a full commercial product. What you are asking is really piracy. This is a no-go (at least on MoDaCo) so please stop asking for people to give it to you. If you really feel you deserve it, speak to Visualit people. It was very generous of them to spare a few copies in the first place. Please stop asking. Topic Locked comes to mind (guess who's?)
Guest pablo diablo Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 I was @ the meet, but can't remember for the life of me where was/ is the code for Tube d/l. Pablo
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Should be on a sheet of paper that came with your goody bag.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 code no longer works-i was tryin it out although i have tube map already. i tried it for another countrys one n it didnt work too oh well im never gonna visit hink kong anyways At the meet it was said that there were only 80 copies available so either you were a bit too late of someone's been greedy and downloaded more than one copy.
Guest madu Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 That's right Awarner, but why would you wanna download more than 1 copy anyway?? PS: They might have just been sorting out the site...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 perhaps the code enabled you to have other tube maps as well? just a thought.
Guest Firaas Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 That's right Awarner, but why would you wanna download more than 1 copy anyway?? I downloaded 1.5 after my first download cocked up
Guest fraser Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 He he, you could make one for the Glasgow Underground yourself...just put a jpg on your phone of the single underground circle we have. Would come in handy when in the middle of a Subcrawl
Guest vijay555 Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 code only worked for Tube London. Not that i would, but i checked it out, given the roundabout route we had to use to download it! But, being a past PocketPC user, must admit it's a nice piece of software. If there was ever a justification for some £300worth of hi-technology over using a piece of paper in your backpocket, this must be it... V
