Another glitch in the matrix, I mean registry...

Something odd is going on here.

I installed the remote access app last night, plus also pocket divx.

This morning (and indeed throughout all of today) when I access the 'sounds' option under settings, my phone just hangs. Other options under settings such as telephony, profiles etc work fine, but when trying to access sounds, I end up having to remove the battery and re-start the phone.

I even tried restoring a my backup registry file but this has made no difference.

Any ideas, anyone?

you cant restore it yet, only back it up

the main reason for not being able to get into the sounds registry is when a sound category has been messed up.

Under categories, I have noticed that all have the value p, except for one (notification) which has the value v0p...I wonder if this is the glitch...?

edit: naw, prob not - the reminder script has the same value.

However, the directory value under 'ring' is the location of the femobot .wavs on my cardc - I am wondering if this should actually be 'windows'...

hmmm, tell you what, would a cab file that installs the sounds back to their orginal sound settings be of use? should fix your settings menu aswell i hope.

Yeah, thanks midnight - I think something like that would be useful - especially for registry newcomers like myself.

Removing the reference to the fembot folder (see above) has done the trick.

I wonder how it got there in the first place?
