Guest jim80b Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 heres my 3rd attempt at a media player skin. its from media play 9 and richies longhorn as i wanted mplayer to fit into the look of the phone. my xbox one is HERE but no cab (yet) oh it wont let me upload cabs. well its a cab in a zip then :wink:main.jpgmplayerskin.zip
Guest StoutMan Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 great work now I can switch my phone off and still keep this great media player skin when its powered up again ....hurry up and do that xbox media player in a cab please.
Guest swanseastu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Superb!! :-). Just wish we could fast forward and rewind withing tracks/ movies! Good work and thank the lord for .cab files life is sooooo much easier!
Guest jim80b Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Click HERE to download the xbox media skin in cab format. there is no way, i repeat NO way to fast forward using the interface in mediaplayer on the spv. create an asx with jump points is your best bet. theres a tool for excel somewhere. try searching for it. sorry, i really want the fast forward option like everyone, but you need to be able to grab the trackbar and drag it, without a stylus (like pocket pc) its going to be hard. if anyone finds a way will work on a skin to help.
Guest madu Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Very good work JIM!!!! I like them! Oh, and the easyness.... By the way, if I install X-Box over WMP9 skin what happens to the uninstalls?? PS: The .asx tool is called ASX Coder (made by me, hehe) and can be found on Monolithix's website. The link is in his signature (I think it's www.monolithix.org)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 Looks very nice, thank you
Guest jim80b Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 call me J.... both files have been updated to solbe the problem of uninstaling as they now have the same app name. by the way if you dont have a sd/mmc card dont install this as i havent figured out how to ask where to install yet. the files go on the card. period. if anyone has a great idea for a mplyer skin let me know and will try to help... ie give me ideas and will see what happens : wink:
Guest midnight Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 good how it in no-way looks like ths official xbox skin for windows media player
Guest jim80b Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 hey it NO WAY resembles the wm9 skin of the skin factory, come on the buttons are different.....   anyway its only based on thier skin. i took some from m$ as well... anyway its the 1st release and my second go at a mp skin so i had to have some inspiration..... the next version will have trackbars but its not a priority as i use the longhorn skin..... hopefully will get round to 2nd release (sorry skin factory if i've offended you...)
Guest jim80b Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 very good question.... try HERE to go to the topic about it and you are going to have to scroll down to find it.
Guest adamsweeting Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 What size should I size my wmv's to fit the screen nicely with this skin ?
Guest jim80b Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 the max visable area of the skin is 176 x 150 but to maintain a 4:3 aspect i would go for 176 x 132 it will leave some black bars but should put the video in the middle.
Guest drblow Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 HELP! How is everybody installing this cab??
Guest Richie M Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 HELP! How is everybody installing this cab?? Same as any other  Place in your start menu somewhere a click it through the Programs menu or putt on your storage card and browse to it with All-explorer or Smart Explorer ;)
Guest drblow Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Well, I did! I don't have smart explorer installed, so usually with cab files I just put them in IPSM/Windows/startmenu/accessories - and then run them from there. All the other cabs I installed have worked this way.
Guest drblow Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Dodgy download of the zip file maybe??? I'll download it again & if that doesnt work I'll try installing smartexplorer & put it on the storage card. If THAT doesnt work, I think I'll try hitting the phone with a hammer!! That'll teach it!
Guest Richie M Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003  Good luck m8, use a small head hammer, much more satisfying :( Disclaimer - hitting your SPV is not recommended, unless you are certified insane or you aren't bothered about dammaging your hammer ;)
