I know I'm being stupid here, but I've spent all day trying to install Smartexplorer, to no avail! Could someone take me through the process of installing it from the PC to the phone, or at least point me to a previous thread? I have searched but couldn't find anything.

Simply plug your phone into the cradle and make sure activesync picks up the connection.

Run the .exe and wait for AS to kick in.

Look at your phone and choose to install to Phone or Storage card.

It'll think about it for a few minutes then tell you its finished.

Nope, still not working. I get which program do want to open this file with! I got 2 files when I downloaded it, the setup file and the .exe file, I've put both of them on my desktop. Sorry for being a thicko!

PS: You have to have your phone DE-Certified. If not go to Articles section for info.

If you have a .cab file, then copy it to:

IPSMWindowsStart Menu and run by going into 'Programs' menu...

I suggest you install to phone.

Seems to me that smartexplorer has problems when installing from the pc.

Just download the CAB file for smartphone and with activesync put it in ISPMWindowsStart Menu

then on your spv go to Programs and find the cab and launch it from there.
