Guest pipin Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 hi all and thanks to anyone who can help me out in advance. I need the GPRS setting for Australia & Singapore. I asked Orange before i left would i be transfered to a network that was compatible with my SPV "ie GPRS" they said yes of course i was so  to hear this only to find that on the first part of my hoils in Thailand no GPRS, then onto OZs and still no GPRS can someone please help me
Guest martin Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Are you trying to roam on these networks with an Orange SIM or are you using a seperate SIM provided by the Australia and Singapore networks themselves ?
Guest FrankyG Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 AFAIK Orange DON'T have roaming agreements for GPRS in OZ or Singapore. Voice calls no problem, DATA...Nope. I got caught in the same way, planned to e-mail pics from the SPV back home but had to abandon that plan. best to get a DATA enabled sim from a local provider I reckon, assuming your phone is network unlocked. Guest martin Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Orange info on GPRS roaming agreements. http://www.orange.co.uk/services/orange_gp...gprs_table.html I'm sure the list of networks will grow.
