Guest madu Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Now then, I noticed that Tube has a Quit option.. As far as I know MS Logo certification clearly states that there should be no 'Exit' function as it is a 'phone'. So how does that apply to Tube software?? On another thought, O certification and MS Logo Req's are different things and one doesn't require another, right?? So basically, can it be certified by Orange and not have the "Designed for MS Windows SmartPhone" logo? Is that the case? And if so, IA Style are really after that little sticker....
Guest MBoden Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 MS will indeed fail programs with a quit/exit option, i dont see the point though, whats wrong with quitting a program you dont need anymore ? why should it take up resources ? and what should a program that has unsaved data do when the OS request it to quit ? And while i'm ranting, why do they demand that soft1 always is done, many of their own programs don't have a done function on soft1 i'll get off my soap box now MBoden
Guest madu Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Hey Mboden, have not seen you for a while!! Anyway, Re: "Done" on Soft1 - I think what they mean is that if it is Done and Cancel, then Done should be on the soft1 to make GUI kinda consistent. I'm no good at this anyway, just my thoughts (coming from IA Album which is MS Logo compatible and is not like that...) By the way, while you're at it, any suggestions re this topic: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...p=151712#151712
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Hehe MBoden  Is Tube MS certified then? I don't have the link here at work...
Guest madu Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Well it is certified by O and will work on certified SPVs but whether it's MS Logo Certified is another thing (I don't think it is), but then why would IAS sod that MS logo for IA Album coz it's the most memory hungry app so far!
Guest siu99spj Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Can I just ask weher can you download the software from. I've tried umpteen times on their website and there is nowhere to find out more info or download it  Considering MoDaCo Meet was kind enough to give us a free copy  it would be nice if I could actually get it :?
Guest madu Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Workaround re download: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=48073 but someone mentioned them being out of their 80 free copies allready.. hurry!
