Guest ajb3000 Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I reset my personal counter on my billing date last month, and recorded my months usage at 7.72MB for this month. I just got my bill from Orange and it stated I had used 8.11MB. Anyone else compared their results? The only 2 reasons I can think of to explain this, is either the GPRS counter is very innacurate, or orange are charging us to download MMS which the GPRS counter doesn't include.
Guest James Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 they must charge charge to download mms mate it is GPRS after all!
Guest casper508 Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I don't think the two readings will ever be exactly same. There will always be a +-5% difference attributed to the fact that we are charged for GPRS while downloading MMS and the connection drops we have while on MSN and other similar things. I only consider this software to be accurate to the nearest Megabyte and is basically there to give a fair estimate of how much the next bill would be. To be honest, I won't be overly worried about the difference provided its less than 500k. But then again, I don't complain too much anyway. ;) :( Cas
