FINALLY, New update and unlock with keyboard use!!!!!!!!

Ok peeps after much searching and playing around ive found out how to do it.

1, make a ipsm folder on ur desktop, then copy over all the files in the ipsm folder from the phone into the one on ur desktop. (some wont go, ignore them)

2, download the update to your pc-not directly to the phone

3, while phone is in active sync mode- place the update on ur storage card (it may ask you to clear up some space on the card, do it as the update file will disapear after update is complete)

4, open file explorer or smart explorer and click on the update exe.

and wait....

5, when its complete take out of active sync, switch off computer (restart)

and plug in the keyboard if u have and try- if u dont have it go to any unsigned app and makesure u can still play it. if u can

Why do you say to make a copy of the ipsm folder if then you don't use the copied files anymore?

Before of the update, did you decerted your phone via orange site or manually?

personally i cant use the orange way as my phones knackered- so to protect the data i protect it by copying it.

then you made the copy from spv to your pc just as a backup in case something went wrong, right?

It's not necessary to do the update process, is it?

Orange update doesn't work on my phone, probably cos I dk1'd it a while ago...

Guys, does this mean there is an update file available somewhere for 1.3.7 (keyboard update) other than by "Orange Update"? This would mean a whole lot of us overseas might be aBLE TO GET OUR KEYBOARDS GOING.
