New: Display returns to home screen after a few seconds

If I am doing something on my SPV, like dialling up to msn messenger or playing a game, if I don;t touch anything the phone returns to the home screen, so I keep having to press the back browser button to return to what I was doing before.

Is this a bug? is there a fix for this?

Not a bug. Just change your homescreen timeout. Programs->Settings->Home Screen->Timeout

This is the amount of time it waits before returning to the homescreen if you don't press a key. For some reason, known only to themselves, Orange defaulted it to a ridiculously short time. I've mine set to 10 mins.
