i have unlocked the sim on my spv

but it is still locked so that it will not work on any networks

it just says network denied, searching...

i've tried updating (don't knowwhy?)

i've tried that funky adpater sim switch trick...no luck

like i said above i've managed to unlock the sim card so i can access that i just don't have a signal or network!

can anyone please help!

This is rather obvious, but have you tried that SIM on another phone? The behaviour you describe sounds like a card without an account/access to a network, rather than the phone being the problem.

I assume the phone works fine with its original Orange SIM?

the sim is perfectly fine, i use it in another phone because the spv isn't working, it's something that orange do to stop you using the phone when it is nicked or something like that...

and no i'm not a theif!!!!!!!!

anyone know how to do this?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Nobody accused you of being a theif, altho that does sound rather dire.

Lemme see if I understand your problem :

You have a SIM from a non-Orange network that works on a non-SPV phone.

You have a SIM-unlocked SPV phone that accepts to boot with that SIM, but is then unable to find a network.

This SPV connects to the Orange network with its original SIM.

Is that correct?

haha

top two questions yes!

but it won't work with an orange sim either, no sim card will get a network because it has been magically locked by the wonderful orange people and they won't do anything about it trust me.

i think it's got something to do with the iimei-number

If you have an Orange SIM then phone Orange. However you say they won't unlock it - why? Desperately trying not to call you a theif, but if that's the case you won't get any help here...

Take it back to where you bought it, and ask for a replacement.

Your phone is knackered, sounds like.
