Guest clicker_gr Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Is there any way to terminate a recording using the voice recorder, manually? What I mean is that I want to terminate the recording the same way I started it, by pushing the button. And another thing. What do I need to change in the registry to make the application save the recording in the SD card, rather than the device's own memory. Thnx in advance...
Guest SirGaz Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Not quite sure what you mean about pressing the button to stop the recording. That's how mine works already. I press the soft prompt button to start a recording and press the same soft prompt button to stop it.
Guest Bazz Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Think he means the button on the side. If you hit it once you enter the voice recorder app, hit it again and you start recording, but you have to use the soft button to stop it recording.
Guest SirGaz Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I must admit that I always use the soft prompt buttons to start recording, didn't know you can press the button on the side again to do the same thing.
Guest clicker_gr Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 What I mean is that after a press the soft key, the recorder only records for about 10 seconds. Then I have to press it again. What I want is to start and finish the recording whenever I want... And of course, for doing that, it'll be good to save the files to the SD card...
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 This makes me think of a thread on a Microsoft User Forum, where a user asked if he could voice chat with the microphone in those new SmartDisplays. An MVP said, "nope". So the guys sez, "Well what's that stupid microphone good for then?" "Nothing", says the MVP. X'D THAT has got the SPV beaten all hollow as the most locked down platform ever released by MS. (You can't even install apps unless you're the manufacturer....)
