Guest Pagemakers Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 What are the chances of Opera making a browser for the Smartphone complete with Small-Screen Rendering?
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Nil, Microsoft told them to stuff it! You know what MS are like about there browsers (you know how you are)
Guest Emad Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Didn't Opera tell microsoft to stuff it? :) Here: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...highlight=opera Not childish at all..
Guest Gorskar Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Well, you can see where they are coming from after what Microsoft have done - blocking MSN from opera users for a start. Its a great shame, as pocket IE is far from the perfect small screen browser - opera does it much better.
Guest PhilA Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Strange how they don't take the same moral high ground with the Windows Version  To me, it just seems like foot stamping that's not really going to achieve anything except annoy SmartPhone 2002 users, and lose them revenue - I for one wouldn't think "I'm not going to buy that phone because you can't get Opera for it", but I might buy Opera if it was available
Guest vampyre69 Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 I'm sure there are lots of legal issues here... (not like thats going to stop M.S) "Honey where's my mail-order lawyer..." "...Oh she's still on the 'world vs gates' case you put her on 15 years ago."
