After much tearing my hair out, these settings appear to work on Vodafone Australia (you need a pay monthly account, not a pay as you go). Just a point to note; after making these settings they didn't initially work and I got a "Unable to place call" error when I tried to connect. I then used my Vodafone Australia sim card in another phone to check that GPRS was enabled by Vodafone. When I transfered the SIM back to my SPV, the G symbol appeared when I switched it on and GPRS then worked.

any ideas on uk Orange payg? the settings are not the same as contract even though Orange say they should be :s i called customer services and after about 20 mins of hassle they give the best excuse ever - "the sim is a payg and the phone was bought on contract so they maybe having issues". Damn i hate tech support, *spit spit* :)

ORANGE Switzerland:

1. Choose in MMS-Setup

2. The MMS Service must be set up through Orange Customer Service. Call

for that: witch passes you through to the righ operator.

That's all. Have fun.

Hello...

Does anyone has MMS settings for Vodafone,Greece as well as settings for connecting to the internet as well...

GPRS Settings for Vodafone Greece...

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: internet

Username: 3094XXXXXX (your phone number in this format)

Password: 1234 (or any other four-digit number)

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

IP Address: (leave empty)

You must enable a GPRS plan before attempting to connect. A "G" sign will appear on your phone if your plan is GPRS enabled.

first of all delete all your proxy connections, dialup connections, GPRS etc.

first go into proxies and add a new one as follows:

name: 02 proxy

connects from: The internet

connects to: WAP network

proxy (name : port): 193.113.200.195

type: wap

username: o2wap (notice the use of small caps. "o" NOT "0"

password: password

next make a new GPRS:

name: 02 wap

connects to: The internet

access point: payandgo.o2.co.uk

username: payandgo

password: password

primary dns: 0.0.0.0

secondary dns: 0.0.0.0

ip: blank

next, make a new dialup:

name: 02 csd

country code: 44

dialling code: 7712

phone number: 927927

username: o2wap

password: password

domain: blank

next go back to data connections...

set the internet connection to use: 02 csd

wap connection: 02 wap

all the others are set to none available on mine...

Set internet explorer to automatically detect settings

and the select network bit to: the internet

that works! i using an old Genie 02 pay as u go sim card. these settings will work for all pay as you go 02 sims!
