Guest Walle Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 As fas as I have been able to figure it out, Activesync 3.6 does not support file level syncronization. This must be corrected in a future version, it can not be true that only Outlook objects can be syncronized automatically. All other files must be copied/moved manually.
Guest spacemonkey Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I haven't got mine yet so can't try this out for you, but here's a bit from a faq I found on the web. (It may be configurable beyond just this folder, don't know...) ActiveSync 3.6 offers the same sync options that ActiveSync 3.5 did. The Calendar defaults to synchronizing two weeks of appointments in the past while the Contacts defaults to synchronizing all contacts and only outstanding tasks. File synchronization is not on by default, however, I recommend that all users turn this feature on since it automatically copies and converts documents stored in your My DocumentsSynchronized Files folder to your desktop. Hope that's useful. Monkey
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 It IS included in 3.6, but doesn't seem to be supported on SmartPhone for some reason?!? P

[...] So if I create such a folder on the device (the SPV that is) - will the files there get synchronized? I coulld not find the option for the file sync. at all ... where is it? I could only see the Outlook items (which work fine). Will be most grateful for any pointers, as I would like to use the CodeWallet program bundled with SPV with its desktop partner ... Best wishes, Wlodek
Guest lighthouse82 Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 (edited) Sorry for trawling up an ancient post, but couldn't find anything else. Is it yet possible to synchronise files from smartphone to pc? i'm always using little notepad files on both, and it would be a huge boon if they would automatically be replicated. EDIT: my bad, hadn't searched thoroughly enough (looked for synchronisation but not synchronization!). if anyone wants to follow this up, check out this topic Edited March 2, 2005 by lighthouse82
