Guest martinb Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 In Pocket IE use a URL of the format: file://IPSMMy%20Documentswibble.htm Or use the Explore function in ActiveSync to copy a shortcut for the item to IPSMWindowsStart Menu R, Martinb [msft]
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 You'll probably have a "mobile devices" option in My Computer. Go to that, then SmartPhone 2002. The two directories you need to worry about are IPSM (the phones internal writable memory), and Storage Card (only appears when you have an SD/MMC card inserted) It's best to install as much as possible to the Storage Card as this allows the phone to run a lot smoother. In this case you have all-explorer. If it has a .cab extension simple place it in IPSMWindowsStart Menu. When you then hit the "Programs" softkey on your phone it will be there (you may need to go into a sub folder then back for it to show). Then simply click it for it to kick off and install, it will even delete itself afterwards and create a new shortcut. If its a .exe extension you can just run it from your PC and it will do all this automagically
