When you are bored of SPVs you are bored of life

... no wait that was supposed to be something else wasn't it?

All I can say is - good luck finding a phone that holds your interest better - I can't think of one (p800 maybe, but its big!)

All that you can do with the SPV-

DivX, mp3, etc playback

MSN messenger

Calender

Camera (ok, not the best camera but still...)

Gameboy

Doom

... and an ever increasing mass of high quality games that make rubbishy JAVA offerings look so dated!

.... your call of course....

Heh, if you thought the SPV battery life was bad, you should see the 3G phones - heavy, clunky and last half a day..

Most of the crashy/glitchy stuff has been addressed by now I thought? And the phone speed is fantastic once you tweak it a bit. Battery life is generally well over a day after the update and thats enough if you pop it on the charger once you get home.. You can also get that portable charger.

In the end the main thing is the applications - you won't get those anywhere else (except maybe the P800 - the main let down for that is the stupid memory cards).

@Emad

where to buy or have more info about "that portable charger"?

Thank you

I might get bored of it sometimes, but every phone I've had ever before was just a phone. I used their other features NEVER. With the SPV I muck about with it daily and never have the "I forgot to charge it cos I never use it" problems that plagued all my previous phones.

Remember, the SPV is cool, but it shouldn't be the sole source of excitement in your life, might I suggest keeping the phone and spending time with girls as well?

If you're bored with the SPV try Midnight's new Southfart customisation - that'll keep you and all your friends amused for hours (probably)

I've only had my SPV for a couple of weeks - and I think it's great. The poor battery life is kinda annoying - before this I had a T68 which I could just leave on for 3 days before having to charge it. But now I just charge my iPAQ 3970 and SPV every night, together in their cradles. Awwww, look at them charge!

I was really unimpressed with the SPV out of the box - but once I started tinkering with the registry and customising it with home screens, custom ring tones and cool apps, and decerted it .. well, the SPV is a whole lotta cool in a small package. And I haven't even startedinstalling games yet.

Yeah, it has its faults, but these are compensated for by all the cool things you can do with it. I for one am looking forward to more software offerings for the SmartPhone, more ports of applications from the Pocket PC platform .. and the next generation OS which promises to speed things up considerably! Hang in there SpaceCowboy!

the spv has more character than the p800 anyway, and the p800 sucks for tweaking heheh

personally, used a p800 for a couple of hours and i was bored in that time, if you are bored with the spv do not get a p800, at least get a pocketpc2002 type thing, the symbian os sucks in my opinion

I could never be bored of my spv, maybe some day it will get bored of me

though!

Even in decades when there is so much better devices out there my SPV

is not gonna be boring cause: "Hey look, meet Smarta, my humble assistant

and one of the first smartphones ever, ain't it impressive kids?... Come on,

without this you wouldn't have your smartphone 2050 devices that you love

so much..."
