Guest doubleoseven75 Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Basically my problem is "what it says on the tin". I am trying to put Doom on my 256mb sd card, but when i put a shortcut into the games folder on the ipsm, it says that the wad file isnt in the game directory. I have tried putting the programme part of the download in the same folder, or making copies of it all over the place but I am stumped. I know I am doing something really wrong, but what?? Please can someone give me idiot proof instructions on exactly what to do Cheers Guys
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Doom.WAD needs to be in a folder named "DoomSPV"
Guest doubleoseven75 Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 i have downloaded and unzipped doomspv-faster, synched it onto my sd card, created a shortcut for the programme part of the file after opening the outer "doomspv" folder. I then put this on the phone under IPSMWindowsStart MenuGames. When I run this, i get a scrolling of some text and nothing happens. My phone is decertified, but this is driving me nuts, I have read how great this game is and wanna play it!!!!
Guest squall Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 i had a similar problem, try this post http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...&highlight=doom
Guest doubleoseven75 Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Thanks for the thread link, but I have doom.wad in a subfolder named doomspv, and have renamed the outer folder "doom", but still get the rolling text and nothing, just goes back to the program listing for games?!?!?!?! I also find a new DBG file in the outer file each time, but it is 0 bytes. Does this mean anything?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 Nope Try rebooting the phone first and not running anything before you try doom. Sounds like you have a memory limitation problem...
