Guest hex Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Wanting to enjoy all the new programs I picked up at the SPV fest  I thought I'd better uninstall some of my lesser used programs to free up some memory. Argh, all I found iin the menu was the Music Lounge, the only program I have installed since the first OS update. How am I going to uninstall them? :? Any ideas anyone?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Moved to help and advice. I've heard of this problem before, cant remember the fix though :/ At the very worst you can always simply remove the programs folder from Program Files...
Guest Richie M Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Er, they should be there, weird. One way you could try is to reinstall them (also some setups will uninstall for you) and try again :?
Guest hex Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Yeah, the update did some strange things to my phone. I lost all my user settings, my PC thinks its Smartphone 2 now and it copied all my contact and calendar appointments over again (although a friend with a Compaq Pocket PC says his does this all the time with ActiveSync). Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a go. Presumably, if I just delete the programs from the program folder I'll be left with registry entries and other hangovers from the install but at least it'll get rid of them.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Yep, your reg will be messy but you'll free up the majority of the space the app's aer taking up...
