Guest goosegog Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 It's me again... I am going to Belgium next month. I have roaming switched on. Will my GPRS work? It didn't in America and I was most peeved! Ferg
Guest martin Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Orange has a GPRS roaming agreement with the Belguim Network Mobistar. http://www.orange.co.uk/services/orange_gp...gprs_table.html Have you checked with Orange that you have GPRS roaming activated ? And look at the cost per MB.
Guest goosegog Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Thanks for the reply I've checked I have roaming on and I did refer to using GPRS abroad but didn't specify GPRS roaming. Perhaps a phone call is in order.... Cheers Ferg
Guest goosegog Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 OK, called up Orange. They said GPRS would not be available unless I purchased a bundle so I went for the £8 / 4M package. OK, next question..... Is it possible to get the SPV to clear the messages off my BT server. I get about 10 emails a day. You know when it collects 10, then say another comes in later it goes through collecting 1 of 11, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 of 11, well does that process use up much data? ie - should I clear messages off the server or is re-checking not using up much data because the emails have already been collected? The collected ones seem to fly by so I imagine it doesn't use up data... Cheers Ferg
Guest goosegog Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 because by the end of a week I could be checking through 100 emails....
