I don't think anyone else has picked up on this yet...

I am currently signed in on MSN Messenger on my phone at the same time as on my PC, my phone kicked me off as recent as last week so it must have just been fixed!!!

Anyone know when/how?

Actually - it looks as though it was just a bug in the software, it looked as if i was signed in on the pc, but probably was only on the phone... sorry, may be a bug because i changed my Messenger username on the pc

Would be nice if it integrated with the "Away" status, so when you are not at the PC, incomming messages go to the phone. That would be one of my legendary "killer apps".

Try going to Edit My Mobile Settings from the Tools settings. Depending on your network you can set this up right now. Unfortunately I don't believe Orange are supported just yet.

Well, that's a bit different isn't it? It shows you as kind of offline but with (mobile) and any messages go through as texts...

so it wouldn't really integrate with our full-blown Messenger on the phone anyway...

shoot me down if you think I'm wrong but it doesn't bother me that Orange aren't supported for that

That sounds like a good idea to me. When you are roaming away from your PC, you don't want to be running MSN on your mobile all the time. That'll just waste the battery and cost more on GPRS, on the off-chance that someone will contact you.

If you get a text from MSN, you would know to fire up the MSN application on the phone. You'd need to let your contacts know that you've got 24/7 MSN connectivity, so they know to wait for you to appear on-line a few moments later.

This would save a fortune on unnessesary texting, especially if you had friends with mobile MSN on their phones. You could even use it as a free SMS gateway, to send messages to friends on MSN that have this set up. Not bad, thanks for suggesting it!
