Someone hit my car...

Was eating dinner in a restaurant this afternoon, and some b&^%$"d hit the back of my car, and went without leaving their details ;)

So, I have to pay for a new back bumper, not cheap (or the insurance excess, also not cheap on a group 17 car...)

Outch !! ;) :)

I know the feeling mate. Last year some f&^%£r smashed the front passenger's window just to grab my mom's parking badge!

It cost me less getting it done privately compared to the insurance access.

Mono,

You almost sound sincere

P,

I had someone in a truck rip the rear door drivers door and front wing of my stationary car. His response? He started laughing. Good job he was 6'4" and 20 Stone or I would have hurt my knuckles.

Still,

I got back £3000 on a car I had for 3 years that cost £3800. Not bad eh (apart from my insurance went up for a n on-fault accident   )

(Was Norwich Union; wasn't your department??? ;) :) )

If I could have got out of the drivers door. Luckily my missus was in the passenger side and wouldn't let me out. I would probably got in trouble but it would have made me feel much better....

Yup Would have been most upset....and probably most injured too. Got a bad habit of starting things I can't quite finish.

But anyways I had the entire back seat of my car stolen a few years back just because the numptys who were trying to steal my speakers couldn't get them out of the parcel shelf which was attached to the back seat so they took the lot.

My neighbour saw them run off with my seat and two speakers worth about 30p.

Gotta laugh eh? :?

Paul,

I don't know if you've been to Audi yet but to give you an idea, my g/f has been quoted £450 for a new front bumper for her A3 Quattro (it's got a tiny hole in it and a few small scratches after an incident with a post...). That roughly breaks down as £150 for the bumper itself, around £100 for paint (I think) and the rest was labour...

Can somebody please hit my car...I need a better excuse than "it would be nice" to get a new car  !!! Sure it runs OK, but I am sick of kids laughing when I drive past...

Hmmm...never thought I would post this, purposely did a "read-only" on the car topic!!! I drive a Renault 5...

Bring on the laughter...mock me as the 10yr olds on my street do!!! ;)

That's a bit harsh...

I might have a nice car now, but when I first passed my test I had a Lada!

(hangs head in shame)
