Virtualdub audio and video getting out of sync

Trying to make DivX AVIs for PocketMVP. ;)

I'm converting long MPEG files and the output AVI files have a progressively growing out of sync with the picture advancing from the sound . Its not noticeable at the start of the AVI but after around 40mins its grown to about 1 sec out of sync. :?

This is not a PocketMVP problem as the player under Windows shows the same out-of-sync

I've found the same problem, audio running out of sync wiht the video, and like you say, it's fine at first, but gets progressively worse. HOWEVER, my files play back fine on my PC (Windows Media Player) but run out of sync on my SPV?

yep that was the perfect advice, nice tool to fix each avi file before copying to smartphone, thanks! ;)
