How do I run a downloaded Appz (Doom, notebad etc.) on the emulator this is included in the Smartphone 2002 SDK? ... where do I place 'em?

Can it be done at all?

You place the programs on your Storage Card (via ActiveSync) .. and you can run them through Smart Explorer or place a shortcut to the program which is a folder that lies in IPSM/Windows/Start Menu!

Well, Don't have a storage card nor a SPV. What I meant was: Can I run downloaded smartphone appz on the Emulator WITHOUT having a SPV? If yes, then how ...

No ;)

Applications you will have downloaded will be compiled for the SPV's ARM CPU. Your PC will be running an x86 CPU, which is of course the CPU the emulator will use.

Moved to help and advice.

Umm, i thought the emulator was supposed to emulate the ARM cpu?

What is the emulator good for if you cant run smartphone apps on it?

It only emulates the way the instructions are processed (i think) and the way that they are executed. See picture below:

yea, afaik they have to be compiled for an x86 for them to run in the emulator, and I don't think you'll be able to download any of those. The emulator is designed for testing your own programming.

Yep, ultimately the emulartor is running off an x86 CPU, theres no getting around that....
