Guest hotphil Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Now I'm confused... Last night my SPV decided that it would actually not like to make any GPRS connections (would just hang on "Dialling"). Tried all the usual reboot stuff - no joy. This morning I've powered it up and tried to pick up my mails. It got stuck on "Dialling" again. When it reverted to Home screen, I am now apparently Roaming (I think that's what the little triangle at the top means(?)), have GPRS available and have a GPRS call in progress and my Network is no longer Orange, instead it's 234337. Has anyone seen this? Is my phone screwed or my Orange cell down (it makes voice calls quite happily? V V confused. More coffee needed me thinkst. SPV synced quite happily in cradle this morning and is running UK update. In a way I hope I have to do a hard reset as I've been itching to de-cert for a while, but simply couldn't get round to it (oh, and no overtime this weekend so plenty of time to fiddle with uncert apps I guess) Phil
Guest strathclydezero Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 My phone did this once ... A restart or a manual network search should fix it.
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 When my phone first connected to a foreign network in Moscow it came up with '0' as the network display, I just went to network search and chose a network manually and it came up and displayed the name properly. Try doing that, selecting Orange of course.
