Guest iwd2 Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Is there any way to automatically lock the keypad after a set period of inactivity. I'm forever dialling people I didn't mean cos I forget to lock the keypad ta Andy
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 If you use phone lock instead of keypad lock (requires a password to unlock) you can set a time out where it will lock automatically if you don't press anything. Look in settings-security (on the second page)
Guest iwd2 Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Well I've tried to do it, but when I select option 5, it waits for about 2 seconds and then chucks me back to the home page. My home page timeout thing is set to be 10 minutes. very odd.
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Hmmm... that doesn't sound like it's working right. Try going to the quick list (press power button once) and choosing lock device. If you haven't got the device lock configured this should bring up the configuration screen too. Beyond that, don't know... sounds like there's something up with the settings menus... A hard reset would probably fix it if you care that much...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Two possibilities one like Spacemonkey said try a hard reset as sometimes the menu system can be messed up. Second is that you may have the newer version ie UK update and this has beed reported to do exactly the same thing, try pressing back when you get kicked to the homescreen as sometimes this works.
