Cant recieve MMS!

fookin thing. Anyone help me, i can't seem to recieve MMS. I have rang Orange for assistance but there no help. I can sent MMS to other phones no problems but when i recieve them the screen says "downloading" then "tranfer failed". I have the correct settings (according to the fella who works at Orange), i just can't understand. If it is any help i have actually recieved them before until i unlocked me phone and took off the certification, but i could swear that it worked ok after that aswell. Cheers in advance for anyone who help me!

if u havent already - install the april upgrade (http://www.orange-today.co.uk/spv/) , that seemed to fix the problem for me. ul have to decert ur phone again but that shud be quite easy if u use orange's developers site

Also cross network MMS can still be a compatability problem

even though it's ment to have been sorted by now.

I don't mean to cross-post but I am having a similar problem. Also, the update link only gives the option to upgrade to 1.3.5.6

...not the 1.3.7 link I was expecting. Wasn't the 1.3.5 upgrade in January and the 1.3.7 in april?

Thanks for the advice. Got the latest update for my phone (msg for Cornaglian- you can get the update from ur phone just go to Programs > Orange Update and get the Keyboard update) but to no avail. The bloody thing still wont work. I took into consideration about the whole cross network stuff and sent a few to myself but that still came up wit the same old problem. An Orange "technician" guy said it was probably because i was muddled up on the MMS register (something like that) and he said he would wipe me off it and then put me back on again and start a fresh, all i had to do was to delete the sms SIM updates and reboot my phone and then everything would be hanky danky, nah still dont work! Im just gonna give em one more chance to straighten this out or this phone is gonna start a new life as an expensive door stopper.

I can now recieve MMS again! Just follow these instructions and you will be on your way!

1.After update restart your phone! (Yeah have a laugh i forgot! :oops:)

2. If that don't work then take out your battery from your phone (while it is switched on) for 1 minute. This is why my phone couldn't recieve MMS cos it was established onto a poor signal mast, when you reboot your phone it reastablishes itself onto the best possible signal.

3. Make sure your settings are correct!

All that SHOULD work!

When I go to Orange Update on my phone and search for new updates...it only returns ringtones and backdrops. Any Ideas on how to get the update?

Have you tried going to PROGRAMS>ORANGE UPDATE>MENU>CHECK FOR NEW UPDATES i know its sounds stupid but ye never know. Im lookin for a link on the net now but im struggling. If i can ill also try to get the update of my phone and put a link up on the net where everyone can get it from.

Yes. I did try both links. It wasn't stupid 'cause I was thinking the same thing.

Whats your signal like? MMS can be a bit fussy if the signals not too good. I had a 'transfer failure' and then a successfull transfer at next attempt but I suspect this is due to having 2 bars on on my phone whilst sitting next to my computer. Do you also have problems with GPRS Internet and it is slow and unreliable, as MMS uses the same GPRS data transfer.

Pretty good signal. I live outside Philadelphia and went into the city today where the signal is stronger. Didn't work there either.

My Orange Update does not show the April Update. Only Ringtones and Backdrops. I can search for updates sucessfully, but it doesn't return the OS Update 1.3.7.........just the other stuff.

Can anyone tell me why?

Is there any other way to get the update other than OTA?

I rang Orange today and asked them for a link on the net where i could get the 1.3.7 update but twice they gave me the wrong update (they gave me the 1.3.6 update.) Anyways they gave me the number for Microsoft and said that they should be able to sort it out (passing the book), ive rang microsoft but they are shut today because its easter but ill ring them Tuesday to try sort it out.

Im still experiencing problems with recieving mms though. I can now send them to myself no problems but when my friend sends me one all i get is the usual tranfer failed scrolling across my screen. He is on Vodafone and he has the Sony Ericsson T300. Orange tell me it's to do with his Network and i should contact them but i don't think there right because he manages to send them to other networks such as T-Mobile without problem.
