SPV Crash

My SPV has crashed. I've charged the battery, tried to power up a dozen times and all I get is the "Orange" Logo and splash screen with what was a nice sunset but is now an annoying block. the next screne should be the smartphone loading but it hangs before I get to it. The only way to power off is to remove the battery

Thanks - sounds nasty - how can I do that ?

I did the following:

Turn off the SPV.

Hold the 'Voice Memo' button down while turning on the SPV.

Press and hold the Action button (joystick middle button) for 2 seconds as instructed.

Press 8 to select 'Erase IPSM data'.

When it has finished doing this (it takes a while), it will say PASSED. Press the left direction pad twice and choose 3 to close the diagostics.

On the three colour 'Canary PV' screen, hold the power button down. This will re-start the phone with the Orange Sunset screen.

ANd the dang thing came back with orange nice sunset but thats it - nothing further

Sometimes the phone will sit on the susnet screen for 5-10 mins before booting up properly.

If you are following the instructions correctly, you'll be fine.

If you do not get any luck you may have to get a replacement from Orange as this

is a known problem, but not many members have posted about it recently.

** I press the left direction pad twice get to three but it is blank. Tried pressing it and nothing. Phoned orange they said "contact microsoft", fat lot of use. Any body any ideas?

On the newer versions there is no number three option.

all you have to do is to press and hold the power button

to reboot the phone.

fyi i have duplicated this orange screen of death by filling up the memory on the phone!

so keep an eye on the storage left.
