how do you get smartface to work???

have d/loaded ver4 but when i click on it in the menu nothing happens???

hmmm I've very new to SmartFace as well! I've never used it, but when I saw the new version, I downloaded it, and placed it in the StartUp folder (IPSM/Windows/StartUp) .. so the program always runs..

Then I took a picture .. scaled it down to 176x200 and placed a folder on my Storage Card called 'pict' .. in that one I placed my pictured and named the picture:

+45TELEPHONENUMBER (whatever the number is of the person you want the picture to be associated with).

Now the picture comes up when someone phones you .. it doesn't look extremely sweet as it can do in the x-box theme .. and if you fiddled around with placement etc etc (this is the DUMMIE way of doing it) .. but it works!

sometimes you dont need the +45 part in the phone number... and of course you dont use +45 if you're not living in Denmark.. you should proberly use +44? ;) heh

Yep, in summary, add the exe to /ipsm/windows/startup so it always runs.

(running the app won't bring anything up on screen, just loads it in the background)

Then in /storage card/pict put jpegs to show when you're called.

The files are called +4512345678.jpg or 044123456789.jpg or whatever the phone number is that they match up to.

Additionally you can have a jpg called parano.jpg which shows if number is withheld, and unknown.jpg which shows for any number you don't have an image for.

There are some advanced options that you can use to position the pictures / text, check the main smartface thread for a link to the french page for what these mean. In a nut shell they are like naming the picture [imtr]_044123456789.jpg and the [imtr] defines some settings (in this example [imtr] means put the [im]age at the [t]op [r]ight.
