You know when you teach the phone a new word and it remebers it for next time... Am I right in saying it forgets all the words you taught it when you re-boot the phone?

Thanks for your reply

I'm fairly sure mine does! It randomly forgets that's for sure!

The words I use the most, that I KNOW aren't in the dictionary, I put in the predefined text, that way I don't have to spell everything out for my lil charmer of a phone...

This has been mentioned before and it is not randomly!

The issue is that it only has space for a limited number of words.

So for example if we assume it is 20 words, then the 21st word entered

would overwrite the 1st one (without prompting or an error message unfortunately).

I agree, that it is not a great thing like this, but there is not much we can do about it.

well, I personally don't use T9 anyway, but that's cause I don't tex a lot!

EDIT - goosegog, I don't know, if it also forgets words during a reboot.

My t9 worked fine.

Then it died, for no reason, after 5 days. i didnt touch/turn off/run any apps on the phone between sending two SMS's, the first one t9 was fine, by the time i sent the second, sent 30 mins later or so, the custom t9 dictionary had been wiped.....

The thing that I find annoying is that it doesn't even remember names that are in your contacts! I find the T9 very frustating, surely with a memory as large as the phone has, it shouldn't forget anything?
