DK Update2 Decert????

No, i have not come up with a solution for it yet.

It just looks like people are pushing it away, leaving us danes in the gutter :) ;)

This is not meant as an offence but I hope that some of all you tech wiz's out there are still trying to figure a solution for us.

All i can do is watch all the new games and apps roll in and do nothing about it.

I'm sure some people are looking at it..

Unfortunately, persuading people to update (and re-certify) their phones, just so then can test out methods of decertifying, will be hard.

Especially as the DK update does not (as far as I know) contain any really useful new features (that work).

I'm certain if a UK or other update did the same, and gave good fixes/new features, then a way of decertifying would be studied in more detail.

The situation has also been discussed in some other threads quite a lot. In a nut shell tho.

While your phone is at the state of the previous update, put in a SD Card and backup the IPSM.

Then Update to the latest DK version

Then Restore IPSM

Done.

If you have already updated then you can get the previous dk update from www.monolithix.org . To get this to reinstall over the more recent firmware run caclearjump (or something like that, Paul posted it in a recent thread).

The boot loader may not roll back so to take a backup of IPSM you may need to use USBTerm.

This is all a big pain, but unfortunately I don't think there is gonna be a lot people can do about it beyond that. Remember, it took us 2-3 Months to unlock it in the first place and microsoft has now taken that away from us.

I see the danish letters and T9 as a very important feature for us danes...

Det er derfor ikke længere muligt at ændre filerne der låser telefonen på den måde. Der findes sikkert andre muligheder, som vi nu forsøger at finde.

Been following that on 4smartphone.dk too.

As for new features worth mentioning is also the letter count in sms.

I hope somebody will come up with a solution for us soon, since it is really starting to bother me.
