Hi everyone, need help.

I accidentally synched my inbox but interrupted it while it was synching. however, active synch was able to copy all my folders (and heirarchy) into my phone. I tried to a synch again w/o inbox hoping that active synch would autocorrect it by deleting what it copied before but that didnt work.

How do i get rid of my outlook folders in my phone.

Thanks/gio

If you can see them via Activ-Sync, just delete them.

Or if you have all-explorer or SmartExplorer browse to them and delete.

Thats assuming your talking about new empty folders, if you mean the inbow etc you cant

Two suggestions:

1: Move yous inbox subdirectories to another folder in Outlook and sync up again

2: Delete you ActiveSync partnership with the phone disconnected, then put it back into the cradle, start a new partenership and syn up without inbox.

Richie,

Thanks for suggestion. Unfortunately, I cant see them thru ActivSync or smartexplorer, only through Programs>Inbox/SMS>View Folders Menu. Unless there's something i'm not doing that's preventing these folders from being visible from AS and SE.

I did it. Thanks to all your suggestions.

To others having the same problem, here's my experience.

The one that worked was moving all email folders to another pst file so that outlook will just have the default folders, ie inbox, draft, sent items. (This may take long but you can leave the PC or do other things while it's doing that.) Then sync.

While dbview looks very promising, this version is extremely slow, cant let you select multiple records and worst thing is it hangs your phone when you try to execute a delete command.

Thanks

Another way is to set up a pop3 e-mail on your phone. As it can't sync e-mail and use pop3 it deletes all current e-mail settings.

Gecko's posting of the 22 April 2003, worked for me too! Cheers. :)
