Guest Machinly Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Well do you? I want to use my T-mobile sim to do this but i dont have GPRS. Is it possible?
Guest Shuflie Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Have a look here, its a free MMS system that use WAP to get and receive the messages. I think that both sender and recipent need to register with them though.
Guest martin Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Re: Do you need GPRS to use MMS? MMS uses the WAP service. This means it is possible to transfer MMS messages over a GSM data connection or GPRS data connection. Typically, networks setup MMS for the GPRS network. It is possible that the network may allow routing of the MMS to the MMSC via the GSM network, but you'll have to confirm this with the network provider. Try asking their customer services ;) :) :D I noticed that Orange France in the GPRS/WAP/MMS repository has the settings for MMS dialup. I've also read that someone was sending MMS via GSM WAP on the O2 network. I haven't seen anything about T-mobile or the other networks. You could also setup MMS transfer via http://www.nowmms.com/, all you need is a WAP connection. Although I know very liitle about nowmms and I have never tried it.
