Guest FrankyG Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Does the latest application close the GPRS connection when a message has been sent? That wouldn't be my preference, as I was browsing the web, sent text and found myself having to re-connect to surf. What about the the app checking whether a GPRS connection exists when it's launched, and NOT closing the connection when a message has been sent? (closing connection if it was opened by the app) Or perhaps a prompt, asking whether to close connection. As we only get charged for data sent/r'cd, what would the disadvantage of leaving the connection open be? Maybe a poll would help? FrankyG
Guest bdmoore Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 If it couldn't be automatic then maybe a setting for it (stay online/disconnect/ask)? That way people could choose.
Guest fozzie Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I agree, there are times when I would like the GPRS connection to stay open after the SMS has been sent. I would prefer, if possible, to have two quit options: 1. Quit & Stay Connected 2. Quit & Disconnect.
