Guest priccijr Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I installed this program and I get the clock in the top bar but when I hold the record button I don't get the menu that is supposed to pop up can someone help? http://www.micro-cheng.com/products/mytoolsp.html Ps. I have a mail in to the developer and am waiting for a reply.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 My Tools went out of development a ~long~ time ago unfortunately....
Guest Richie M Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 If i remeber correctly MyTools dosent work properly on the SPV ;)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I spoke to the author today, he's not developing any further for SPV, cos he doesn't have an SPV to test... It works fine on a Sendo Z100 apparently! P
Guest madu Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Is there any way he could give you the source or something so we could take it on??
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 No, he wouldn't be willing to do that... I think the only way we'll get it is for someone to send him an SPV :-| P
Guest madu Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 What a greedy b*****d!! Well, I aint sending him MY phone!!
Guest muff Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 dont think you non-developers know how much a real phone helps in the development process - it's vital the emulator is all nice and dandy, but because it runs x86 code, not the final code you release for the phone (ARM), it's unpredictable sometimes, as the code may work perfect under the emulator, and not on the actual phone so he's said he won't support a system he can't test properly - not exactly a hanging offence - and in fact probably a good attitude to take, rather than releasing dodgy code without being able to test it properly just my 2 cents muff
Guest madu Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Full backing on that one muff, but releasing the code to someone who knows, can be that vital link to make it work!! And if he won't work on it ever himself, why not let someone (who can) finish it for him? I know the 'intellectual property' etc... but...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 I didn't specifically ask him that of course... So if anyone fancies it? P
Guest Richie M Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Firaas has two phones, he's always saying how great his Tanager is, so why doesnt he donate his "crappy" SPV to the cause ;)
Guest casper508 Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 Paul has three I think ! ;) :) Cas
Guest madu Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 "]I didn't specifically ask him that of course... So if anyone fancies it? P spacemonkey? mboden? anyone?
