New: The Red-e phone shows the hourglass cursor every minute

The Red-e phone has a bug causing it to show the hourglass cursor every minute for a short time. It is unknown if the bug exists in the other smartphones, but I bet it does.

This is barely noticeable when the phone does nothing, but when the phone is used to play game or play video, the hourglass cursor becomes visible for several seconds.

It seems that a background process causes this. This should be fixed by MS.

Err no it it does not :? the only time this happens is when a memory

intensive app is running but not in the way mentioned here.

What apps are you running as this is more likely the problem?

No, the problem is visible even if no app is running. It becomes more obvious when running any video player (e.g. WMP or PocketTV) or video game...

Can you post the specs of the phone please, it would be interesting to

see what differences there are if any to the SPVTanager?

Thats very wierd - have you tried Hard resetting it?

I can tell you for sure that the SPV does not do that - perhaps the development SPV (available from http://www.ora.co.uk) is a better bet for development purposes...

Oh yes, I had to hard-reset it twice, after it locked-up on power-on :-)

FYI: The Red-e phone we have is development phone sold by MS to their developers, with the latest firmware upgrade.

When Florin had his phone it did not even work, so I wonder

how well developed this phone really is?
