Private Message question!

Just a quick question, if i have sent a private message but it is in my outbox and not in sent mail then is it available to the recipient? Obviously there is no send and recieve like a real e-mail program..

if its in the outbox then its ready to be sent... like outlook does!

but waiting for the recipient to become available.
