Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 I placed a wav file in my StartUp folder, and now I want to delete it (it's soooo annoying when it blasts out this embarresing wavfile on the bus *inno*) But access denied etc etc (probably the file is 'in use' somehow. So how do I delete it *confuzzled look* I've tried with Smart Explorer and via ActiveSync, but both says the file might be read-only (which it's not).
Guest martin Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 Maybe you can't delete it from the startup directory (could be directory parameters being a pain)? Have you tried dragging it to another folder like my programs and and deleting it from there. Also you could try and kill all active apps and processes in task manager before deleting it. Failing that, turn the volume down...
Guest NederSoren Posted April 26, 2003 Report Posted April 26, 2003 yep.. taskmanneger should do it ;) If you kill it in the process page, you can delete with your explorer in active sync :)
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 I forgot about the hidden tasks in the process list *DUH ME*! I had tried closing everything, but in vain! Silly me to forget the hidden ones... Oh well, it's fixed, so now I don't have to hear: "Ladies and gentlemen. I have here before you gathered some of the worlds...." (Austin Powers) in full blast! I thank you .. and so does my fellow commuters *haha*
