Bootloader problem

when i try and do a hard reset it does not give me the option to delete when it says press any key for bootloader i press the action button and the screen goes blank and stays blank no matter how long i hold the button in for>anyone who can help me please as i am new to this

look up usbterm.exe...... look on monolithix.somthing (com, net or org) i dont know coz i is well pissed the new bootloader has loads of option missing!" by the way soory coz i is well pissed

cheers did that and when i double click on the .exe file it just flashes a dos prompt box up for a split second and goes off?????

Have you killed the wcescom(?) process on your PC. You need to do that first then run the prog ;)

i can now load the program but the dos box just stays blank???

does the phone have to be in the 3 colour bootlaoder screen???

do i have to type owt as the screen is still staying blank but if i hit return then it says cmd1

i think you have to type summat like qfs ? for the instructions, don't quote me on that tho.

if i type in qsf its says command not supported do you HAVE to have a card inserted to do this???

you need to put the ? after qfs ie "qfs ?" then you should get a list of commands.

Don't know about having a card inserted shouldn't matter initially though.

i do have enough space on the phone to copy the bootlader to but where would i copy it to ???

You'll need to format your sd/mmc card using the usbterm prog. So make sure you backup your card first.

Did you get the qfs ? command to work?

I found the original post btw but the link to the french site with the instructions doesn't work and my french ain't too hot im afraid.

Might want to try rebooting your PC and phone too.

If that doesn't work, maybe worth waiting for the clever guys to wake up and see if they can help.
