Are they particulary large? File sizes greater than 500k or so can cause problems. They also have to be a specific samle rate, 16khz (off the top of my head, may have to double check this...).

50k on average, not sure on the sample rate tho. if i convert them to wave they play but the quality isnt as good.

thanx tho

Oh, SmartPhone only supports midi0 type midi's too btw, other versions will sound crap (wave's are just as good quality, if a little quiet).

wave files exist in many formats. i have found a lot of unplayable wave files .... loading them up in somethng like CoolEdit and savind it as a PCM wave file seems to fix that ..

and i have found NO Midi files that actually play ... monolithx just answered that q.

I'm having the same problem. downloaded a wav file, copied it to windows folder in the phone, assigned ringtone to that file. it was working for a couple of days but suddenly my ringtone was assigned to alarm2. when i used file explorer to investigate, i found that the wav file that i copied was GONE, DELETED!!

Anyone knows the explanation here?
